Spring is in full swing in SoCal, and the temperatures are starting to reflect that.

“High pressure aloft building over the region will bring a gradual warming trend through Thursday,” the National Weather Service stated in their area forecast discussion on Tuesday morning. “Daytime high temperatures will be well above normal away from the coast for late week.”

NWS predicted that Thursday will likely be the warmest day of the week, noting that a mid-90-degree day for parts of the San Fernando Valley “cannot be entirely ruled out.”

Strong Santa Ana winds will also contribute to the warmth SoCal is set to experience, according to KTLA 5 meteorologist Mark Kriski.

“The Santa Ana winds coming from the east will give us a big-time warmup,” he said.

The warm front is set to exit the region by this weekend when a cooling trend makes its way into SoCal.
