You see my segments on TV, but did you know I also host a national radio show called Rich On Tech?

Each week, I share helpful tech news, tips, and answer your questions on radio stations across the country — from KFI AM 640 in Los Angeles to 710 WOR in New York City.

I also interview experts. This week, Matt Swider from The Shortcut joined me to talk about his hands-on time with the Nintendo Switch 2.

“The thing I love about it is the screen… its a lot bigger,” said Swider.

The Switch 2 goes on sale June 5 for $450 and it’s expected to be a must have holiday gift.

“It think it is a must have if you’re playing the Switch on like even a weekly basis, if that’s your go-to console. If you love Mario games, Mario Kart World is going to be a blast to play,” said Swider.

Also on the show — a conversation about online privacy with the co-founder of Cloaked.

“The phone number or any piece of data, whether it’s for good or bad, gets aggregated, collected, and eventually is either to target you, compromise you or watch you,” said Arjun Bhatnagar of Cloaked.

His advice? Share less of your personal information whenever you can.

“This is where that mindset of we’re trained to keep saying yes [but] start hitting decline. And you’d be surprised similarly at restaurants and … whichever… hey, can you give me a phone number? Can you give me your email. I say, no, I don’t have to give the information. And they’ll say, oh, no big deal, no worries,” said Bhatnagar.

Finally, we talked mesh Wi-Fi systems with Wirecutter’s Joel Santo Domingo.

“If you have mesh networking, it will extend the signal, the wifi signal to other parts of your house,” said Domingo.

His top pick for most homes is the eero 6, which is easy to set up with solid coverage.

Looking for an upgrade pick? Go with the TP-Link Deco BE63 for faster performance and more ethernet options.

When you upgrade, keep your old Wi-Fi network name and password — so your devices connect automatically.

And for the best signal, place your router centrally, up high, and out in the open.

“You want it out in the open because Wi-Fi signals don’t like to be blocked by things like wood or metal,” concluded Domingo.

Listen to Rich On Tech Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM on KFI AM 640 or subcribe to the podcast. You can also catch the first 10 minutes of the show on KTLA+ Sundays at 11 AM.
