WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – After announcing a 90-day pause tariffs, President Donald Trump met with NASCAR cup series champions at the White House.

Roger Penske brought several of his drivers and race cars from different divisions to the White House.

2023 and 2024 NASCAR Cup Series champions Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano were on hand along with Nick Tandy, Felipe Nasr and Laurens Vanthoor.

NASCAR commissioner Stever Phelps and NASCAR president Steve O’Donnell were also there and met with the president in the Oval Office before meeting him outside to see the race car.

President Trump attended the Daytona 500 this year and paced the field in his presidential motorcade.

Penske told the president he has an “open invitation” to the Indianapolis 500 this year.
