Video captured the wild end of a pursuit as sparks flew from a shooting suspect’s pickup truck when he continued to drive after crashing into multiple cars in the San Fernando Valley Tuesday.

It was unclear exactly when and where the chase began but Los Angeles Police Department Officer Miller confirmed that the driver was suspected of shooting at a victim near Amboy Avenue and La Valle Street in Sylmar around 7:15 p.m.

The victim was not struck by the gunfire, Officer Miller said.

During the chase, the suspect slammed into at least two vehicles near Van Nuys Boulevard and Kewen Avenue in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Two innocent motorists were taken to a local hospital in stable condition following the crash, Miller said.

Meanwhile, cellphone video showed sparks flying from beneath the truck as the suspect continued down the street in an attempt to evade authorities.

Eventually, the unidentified suspect abandoned the truck and tried to flee from officers on foot but was taken into custody in San Fernando, freelance media firm RMG News reported.

He was arrested and booked on criminal threat charges, Miller said.
