It’s no surprise that phones, wallets, and keys are the most common items left behind in Uber cars. But a urinal and a taxidermied rabbit?

Uber has released its 2025 “Lost & Found Index,” listing the 50 most unique items left behind in its rideshare vehicles.

Among the memorable ones are a mannequin head with human hair, Shrek ears, divorce papers, breast milk, a live turtle, 10 live lobsters and a Ghostbusters ghost trap.

Uber passengers also left a lot of food items behind, including 175 hamburger sliders, 24 cans of corn, a 5-gallon bucket of beans and a bucket of feta cheese.

The rideshare giant also ranked the 10 most “forgetful” cities that lead the pack when it comes to abandoned items. New York was first, followed by Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

In some cases, the data is incredibly specific. For example, Uber said people are most likely to forget gloves on Mondays, jackets on Tuesdays, medicine on Wednesdays, and umbrellas on Thursdays and Fridays. And the most forgetful day of the past year? Oct. 26. “It’s no coincidence that this just so happens to be the Saturday of Halloweekend,” Uber said.

While fun to read, there is a point to the list. Uber is trying to demonstrate how simple it can be to retrieve a lost item through its app or online at help.uber.com. You can also call your driver.

“Uber riders have left behind some truly unforgettable items this year,” said Camiel Irving, VP of operations and GM of mobility US&C at Uber. “Whether essential or totally unusual, we understand how important it is to be reunited with your lost belongings.”
