A free monthslong community event at the Santa Monica Pier, “Locals’ Night,” will return in April, officials announced Wednesday. The event will have live music, dancing, a car show and more.

Locals’ Night on April 17 will feature community activations and performances from local favorites like the Tom Nolan Band, House of Vibe and Movie Club.

Guests can also enjoy Salsa Way, an interactive salsa dancing experience open to all levels, and shop at the Art Mart, featuring over 40 local artisans, makers and small businesses offering handmade goods, art, apparel and more, according to a news release.

Locals’ Night is held every Thursday from September through May.

On April 17, a portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Concrete Queenz.

This nonprofit brings skateboarding and community to underserved girls in South L.A. through free school-based skateboarding programming, trips to local skateparks and collaborations with other organizations for workshops on college, careers and healthy living.

The event begins at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. Free tickets are available on Eventbrite.
